2 things:

The Marvel TCG will NOT be given away on Free Comic Book Day, I just read an announcement. Hopefully that'll change back before the event actually happens. Free stuff is always a great way to get people into a game!

Also, I have to agree with Max. No response to enemy announcing actions? I'm not even a serious gamer and that turns me off! So, after I'm done my turn, I should just walk away from the table and come back when my opponent says "Done", since I can't do anything about anything he does!! (extreme case, but still mostly valid!)

I'm getting the feeling that the release is going to get pushed back... just spoke with a customer rep for UDE, he had no info on the game and it is a month away from the street date.

It could have to do with their current financial problems. I know they're losing WoW and they just lost a law suite to Konami for counterfeiting cards.

someone said something about a similar situation with their sports cards division... I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that the game comes out, but I'm not going to hold my breath. If it does I'll show it my support, as I will likely always do with all superhero TCG's from here on out.

I'm hoping that the "long-term" deal that UDE signed with Marvel helps to keep this game, at least, on track.

as of this posting only 12 days and counting. Per the UDE rep I spoke with today the 16th is still the release date and should remain so. Launch party kits are not currently available though.

in recent news... according to a recent post over at Mr Fike's website ( http://marvelsuperstars.wordpress.com/ ) kits & product available 4/16/10.

If this remains true, then we need to start thinking of what night is going to be good for everyone. Please note that Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday nights have potentially conflicting events at the store. Also, I have school early on Mondays so I'd prefer to avoid Sundays as I can't start until after 5 as I'm working. Let me know what's good for everyone else.

sooooo... not sure what to say at this point. seems like UDE may be done, not sure what this will do to the superhero gaming community, but all juries remain out at the moment.
